About pH balance
Healthy skin is pH-balanced skin. A product with a pH level of around 5.5, which aligns with our natural pH levels, will leave skin perfectly healthy, happy, and well-balanced. Products that hit higher on the pH scale may cause damage to the outer, protective moisture barrier of the skin, also known as the acid mantle. A damaged acid mantle can cause inflammation, acne, eczema, dryness, flakiness, and even premature aging. Cleansers containing soap often have a pH of 9 or 10 and leave skin feeling dry and tight. Benefits of Charcoal
Charcoal works similar to soap in that it binds with dirt to clean the skin. The difference is charcoal goes deeper into the skin than regular soap without the dryness and damage. It gently removes dirt and oil from the pores and makes them appear smaller. It’s also great for removing water-resistant SPF products, such as face sticks and makeup.

How To Extend The Life Of Your Cleansing Bar

• When carrying your soap around, it may be helpful to get a container to put it in. This would help prevent transfer of the soap onto the surface it’s touching.
