WBZ Skate Camps 2024

Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 12noon. The camper is welcome to stay and skate free after each day and Friday is a free day for all campers, however, there will not be instructors present on Friday and the skatepark will be open to the public. Skate Camp takes place at the Waterboyz skatepark, 380 N 9th Ave Pensacola FL 32502. What to Bring: Lunch: There is a snack and water provided but no lunch. Please provide lunch for your child or have them eat at our Cafe. Equipment: We provide camp helmets, pads, and skateboards. But, we recommend campers have their own board to practice on at home. Proper Footwear: Close-Toed, Flat bottomed shoes (not running shoes!) to prevent injuries such as ankle rolls. Ex: Vans Old Skools are great skate shoes as they allow excellent, "board feel", which is the ability the feel the board beneath your feet. Running shoes with thick layers of foam are improper footwear for skating. Details: Our instructors have years of experience skating and are among the best skaters in Pensacola. Instructors teach campers both in groups and one on one. Each skater sets their own goal at the beginning of the week (how to drop in, ollie, grind, etc.) and our instructors help them get there. There is a range of abilities in each session which really helps the kids to motivate each other. Each day after the camp is over, the skaters are welcome to stay and skate for the rest of the day. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt! The Waterboyz Skate Camp is $150.00 Ages 7 and up Instructors always welcome tips.
