Have you heard… about the Bird!?! Soaring on to the scene as Bill Stewart’s latest longboard creation, the Bird has the grace of a classic single fin, with the power, speed, and maneuverability of a more high-performance longboard. Created for our team riders to push the envelope of classic longboarding, Bill made sure that the Bird checks all the classic log boxes for those pesky contest rules while adding some key features to make it ride way better than your average single fin. The more traditional round foiled rails towards the nose blend perfectly into hard edges off the tail, which release water for speed. Deep vee in the tail makes the wide tail go rail to rail with ease. Projecting out of turns with speed and quickly setting the Bird on rail makes maxing out your maneuvers on each wave a breeze. After you’ve crushed a few turns, stall for a soft landing in the pocket – the Bird’s tail has plenty of width and the ideal rocker for solid hold while you perch on the nose. Speaking of the tail, you just can’t help but notice the unique tail shape on this one. Mirroring a bird’s wings, the design doesn’t really have a functional purpose but, damn it looks good! Whether you’re looking for the highest scores from the judges, or bragging rights with your camera rewind, the Bird is the word. 9'4" x 23 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Frequently Asked Questions

Have any questions about our surfboards? We have you covered.

For beginners, larger soft top surfboards or longboards (typically 8–9 feet) are best, that is assuming an average size adult. For smaller individuals surfboards in the 7-8 feet range would be ideal.  The larger surfboards provide stability and make it easier to catch waves. Waterboyz offers a variety of new surfboards designed for all skill levels.

Yes. Soft top surfboards are lightweight, safe, and more forgiving during falls, making them ideal for learning the basics of surfing.

While many new surfboards include surfboard fins, there are good selection of the more high end performance shortboards that do not come with fins.  Leashes are usually purchased separately. Waterboyz also stocks surf accessories so you can complete your setup in one place.

Shortboards are designed for speed and advanced maneuvers, while longboards are better for stability and smoother rides. Your choice depends on your experience level and wave type.  If you have questions send us an email at help@waterboyz.com
